Privacy Notice

Last updated:

ActiveFactor ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This notice describes how we handle information you share via our website at activefactor.net.

What we collect

When you submit the contact form, we collect: name, email address, optional company name, optional topic, your message, and basic technical metadata (referrer, browser user-agent, timestamp, timezone) — used only to triage spam and improve service quality.

Why we collect it

Solely to respond to your inquiry and to discuss a possible engagement. We do not sell, rent, or share your details with third parties for marketing purposes.

How we protect it

The site is delivered over HTTPS, the contact form uses bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), and inquiry emails are routed through encrypted, authenticated channels (SPF, DKIM, DMARC). Form submissions are processed via Cloudflare Workers and delivered through a transactional email provider (Resend) to an authenticated mailbox.

How long we keep it

Inquiry emails are retained for as long as needed to serve the engagement, plus a reasonable archival period. You may request deletion at any time by emailing team@activefactor.net.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to its processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Cookies & your choices

On your first visit, a privacy banner lets you choose which categories of cookies you allow: strictly necessary (security and bot protection, the contact form, and remembering your privacy choice — always on), functional (remembering settings and preferences), analytics (aggregated insight into how the site is used), and marketing (measuring our reach and relevance). Every non-essential category is off until you turn it on.

You can review or change your choices at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page. Your preference is saved in a small first-party cookie so we can honor it on return visits.

We currently run no advertising or analytics cookies; if we add them, they will load only after you opt in. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
